EC.02.05.05 Utility system inspection, testing, and maintenance
Scope
The Building Utilities Plan is designed to promote a safe, controlled, and comfortable environment of care through the provision and maintenance of adequate and appropriate utility services and infrastructure. 
 
Objectives
  • Ensure the operational reliability of all UCSF Health utility systems.
  • Ensure all utility management processes are performed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor utility management data to proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Through the utilization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (IBM Maximo), all Facilities Staff adheres to system procedures when performing preventative maintenane or un-scheduled repairs on systems and equipment.
