Danny De Leon is the Director of Facilities at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland where he is responsible for leading the facilities management team. He and his team are responsible for managing the physical environment, including maintaining policies, protocols and procedures for preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance, including emergency management. The team is also responsible for continual management of the central utilities plant, the Main Hospital, Outpatient Clinics and outlying clinics in the East Bay. Prior to working at Children's Hospital, Danny worked in Life Sciences facilities management where he oversaw the start-up of a biotech research facility for Johnson and Johnson. Danny holds degrees in landscape architecture and city planning from UC Berkeley, has formerly worked as a project manager at UCSF Campus and managed a general construction firm in the East Bay. Danny is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering and is vice president of the San Francisco chapter of CSHE, California Society of Healthcare Engineering.
