Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Upgrade

UCSF Health Facilities Business Applications Team is successfully spearheading the upgrade from Maximo 7.6 to the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) with a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and operational agility. This migration transitions our enterprise asset management to a modernized, AI-enabled cloud architecture on Red Hat OpenShift, future-proofing system capabilities and drastically enhancing operational efficiency.

This successful upgrade guarantees an agile, secure, and future-proof digital foundation, empowering our workforce to maximize asset life cycles and drive sustainable operational excellence.

Project Overview:

Maximo CMMS application version 7 is at end of life as of September 2025. This project entails upgrade of the existing UCSF Maximo 7.6 system to a newer architecture called Maximo Application Suite version 9 (MAS 9).

Scope includes reinstating current functionality from our live environment to the upgraded environment.
